We offer comprehensive evaluations of your vision and eye health. This includes services such as evaluation and management of dry eyes, emergency eye services, glaucoma evaluation and management, diabetic eye care, surgical consultation for cataracts, eyelid, and refractive (LASIK, etc) surgery evaluation and co-management, contact lenses services customized for your eyes including bi-focal contacts, contacts for astigmatism, and post surgical cases.
We also offer the best quality ophthalmic lenses and professional recommendation on lens choices to meet your lifestyle needs. To better evaluate and prescribe for all your eye care needs Dr. Hollenbach asks that you bring to your appointment your current eyeglasses (including sunwear) and, if applicable, your contact lens information.
We are confident that Scottsdale Eye Care can provide the eye care you need. Below you'll find a list of some of the key eye care services that our optometric practice offers.
Dr. Hollenbach does comprehensive eye exams for all ages.
Each comprehensive exam includes:
-
Eyeglass/Contact Lens Exam – Assesses your central vision and ultimately determines your need for a prescription.
-
Contact Lens Prescription – Fits and determines the lenses that give you the most comfort and clearest vision.
-
Visual Field Testing – Checks your basic peripheral vision.
-
Ocular Neurologic Test – Evaluates how well your pupils react to light and dark and how well your eyes line up and move. This test can also reveal potential neurological problems and help detect optic nerve disease.
-
Eye Pressure Test – Measures your intraocular pressure and checks for potential signs of glaucoma.
-
Dilated Fundus Examination – After dilating your pupils, we check for any other diseases that may take form deep within your eyes, such as macular degeneration, diabetic changes, retinal detachment, floaters, flashes and cataracts.
-
Prescription Drug Use Exam – After evaluating the list of prescription drugs you provide (including Plaquenil, Prednisone, Tamoxifen and other drugs), we look for possible optical side effects.
-
Dry Eye Evaluation – Checks to see if your eyes produce tears properly.
